BLIND SPOT MONITOR AND CLOSING-VEHICLE SENSING

The Blind Spot Monitor, part of the optional Vision Pack, is designed to help alert you to the presence of a vehicle in an adjacent lane by providing a warning indicator in the exterior rearview mirror. Closing Vehicle Sensing tells you if vehicles are approaching from behind at speeds that might make changing lanes more dangerous.4

ROLLOVER PROTECTION SYSTEM

This safety feature is designed to help protect occupants in the event of a rollover. Finished in Satin Chrome on the F-TYPE and F-TYPE S, or in Gloss Black on the F-TYPE V8 S, the rollover protection system is also available with Carbon Fiber or Chrome covers as a dealer-installed accessory.4

  1. INTELLIGENT HIGH BEAM OPTION

Using a sensor mounted at the front of the rearview mirror, the optional Intelligent High Beam system is designed to pick up light from other vehicles, and automatically switches between low and high beams as necessary. Part of the optional Vision Pack.4

  2. ELECTRONIC BRAKE FORCE DISTRIBUTION (EBD)

The standard Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) system is designed to measure vehicle load, and helps distribute braking force to the front and rear wheels accordingly, enhancing control.4

  3. OCCUPANT SAFETY

Two front airbags and two side airbags help provide added reassurance for you and your passenger.6 Sensors detect the size and weight of the driver and passenger, and direct the front airbags to deploy appropriately. Advanced seatbelt pretensioners automatically tighten the seatbelts when they sense rapid deceleration.

  4. DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL

Combining traction and stability control systems, the standard Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) can brake individual wheels and reduce engine output to help eliminate wheelspin or mitigate over- or under-steer. The system can also be set to TracDSC mode for special circumstances, which allows a degree of intentional wheelspin and vehicle rotation, or can be switched off entirely.4

  5. REVERSE TRAFFIC DETECTION

Reverse Traffic Detection, part of the optional Vision Pack, uses a radar system to warn of oncoming vehicles in your path as you back up, such as when reversing out of a parking space.4

  6. ASSISTED PARKING

Part of the optional Vision Pack, front and rear parking aids with audible warnings are designed to alert you of the presence of nearby objects. Arrows on the central Touch-screen provide information about their location in relation to the vehicle. For added safety and convenience, the Reverse Park Camera, also part of the Vision Pack, transmits pictures to the 8-inch Touch-screen.4

  7. EMERGENCY BRAKE ASSIST (EBA)

By monitoring how quickly you depress the brake pedal, the standard Emergency Brake Assist is designed to increase brake pressure in order to help shorten stopping distances.4 This system can also help the driver retain steering control under these severe braking conditions.
